LED replacement bulbs for 2019 Taco

I replaced the factory bulbs in my 2019 Taco with LED bulbs High and low, but it seems like the ones you get on Amazon are cheap quality and or time lasting (maybe the ones I chose). Any recommendation for where you bought your LED bulbs would be appreciated.

Also, I drive a lot in the dark (Early Morning) and am looking for the max brightness so I look for the highest luminous number that I can get that is compatible for my track.

Halogen housings aren't meant to spread the light from LED's. You are better off buying a nice halogen bulb or swapping light housings to OEM LED housings.

If you are dead set on installing an LED bulb, VLED's is a damn good place to buy bulbs.

That is what i have been using on my tacoma for years and cero issues.

 

Install the same Halogen H9 bulb your highbeam takes in your low beams, in place of the H11. The colored insert inside the wiring harness plug can be removed with a pair of needlenose pliers, allowing the H11 plug to fit the H9 bulb plug-base.

The best H11/H9 bulb crashnburn80 has tested were the Gen 3 (not gen 4) morimoto LED bulbs, but while they offered the best focus, they were about equivalent to a decent standard output H11 bulb. The H9 offers about a 70% intensity bump, which translates into a significant increase in low beam distance reach.

Most of the other LED retrofit bulbs crash has tested performed worse than the standard H11 that was installed at the factory, most also shifted the highest intensity zone down below the horizontal cut off, meaning distance vision was reduced while everything near the vehicle was illuminated too brightly, further reducing your ability to see things at a distance.

 

Basically, stop trying to shove LED replacement “bulbs” in a halogen housing.

did the mods purge a a couple thousand of them?

 

I’ve been running Hikari Ultra bulbs since my truck was new in 2019 and still love them! Never had issues in all the years of hard off-roading. Still on the same set!!

 

We could shift this into a "blinker fluid upgrade" thread ...

 

I tried the h9 low beam mod and was not that impressed then I read reviews on the led bulbs from Vleds pricey yup but the result was exactly what I was looking for.
