So what more? I guess since the panel is red, that would mess it up. I wish they would have kept the amber rear signals from the previous generations. The 3rd generation tail lights are small, and not very vivid. They basically suck.

So I bought a pair of these and they arrived today. All of the YouTube videos I've seen for removing the taillight assembly you simply remove the two bolts and the entire thing practically falls off into your hands. Not mine! I tried both the driver side and the passenger side. It feels like I'm going to break something if I pull any harder. Is there a trick to a "first time" removal?

Just did mine with the same bulbs. Pull straight out evenly with some muscle. It's not too bad.

Pull harder, directly back, not to the side. I put a towel on the bumper cover to avoid an accidental scratch. Used dielectric grease in the metal tabs so it easier next time.

Thanks for the advice with this, I did get the LED's installed this morning. The top (white) plastic alignment grommet on the driver side seems to have exploded when I was removing the taillight assembly, or else it was already exploded from the factory. About 75% of that piece was on the metal stud, but one side of it was almost totally gone. I couldn't find any plastic bits and pieces, so that's why I think it may have been that way from the factory. Anyway I ordered a couple of spares... but shipping is the killer. :spending:
