I swapped out my old Rigid industries LED for the baja S8. I had previously installed a button with an add a fuse that would make the little light on the switch turn on when the headlights were on. when I connected the button to the new wiring of the baja and re-installed, now the little light is on all the time, even when the car is off.

any ideas what might have happened there?

I didn't change the wiring at all for the switch though, i kept that wire connected at all times. so I literally just snipped the wires off that went to the LED and tied the new ones in.

Oh, one thing I noticed, I pulled the fuse for that wire and the lights stayed on...so now I am confused.

OK @BillsSR5 you were correct. once I realized it wasn't the little light that turns on with the headlights, and realized it was the light saying my light bar was on, I went and reversed the connection I had made and all is right in the world again.

    Thanks!

it gets confusing cause both posts require 12v to operate, one line comes from battery or constant 12v and other from the wiring harness itself I think

I was really hoping to avoid having to totally re-run a harness when I installed this light, but I just had to bite the bullet and get it done. I think in the end I was just hurrying it along so I could be done.

Now I just need to splice into my DRL so I can have the backlight feature on the light bar. More wiring, yay!

I had the same issue I installed aftermarket fog lights in my SR5, had no factory wiring for the fogs at all used the supplied PIAA harness and did it all from scratch, SR5s have no factory available fogs/wiring at all I think
