Can anyone tell me why Toyota decided to install chrome taillights on the OffRoad? The day I bought my truck I saw the taillights and I immediately thought I need to get rid of them. Well, right after I bought the truck I started to research the aftermarket taillight options and Alpharex’s PRO series LED taillights caught my eye. I bought them back in the first week of April but due to a national back order I just received them last week. I created a video to show everyone how easy a taillight install is and to show off how good these lights look.

Definitely like the alpharex red ones on your truck. I opted for the black smoked ones for my truck

Nicely done video, thanks for doing this. Seem easy enough even for me! Any hyperflashing issues with the LEDs?

Thank you, there is no hyper flash with these lights because Alpharex has a built in resistor.

Cool thanks. I think I'm sold on these. Nicest ones I've seen, so I better put in my order and wait a month. Need an opinion.....red or smoke on the back of my truck? I'm leaning smoke but not sure....

How bright are they at night? They don't look very bright in the video, but perhaps it looks different in person.

Definitely leaning that way also. I think the black/smoke would give the rear a nice look. The red would look more OEM for us. I think for the OP though they were definitely the way to go.

nice video. I think the red look good on your truck. Personally, I think the alpharex ones just trade one weird design for another. They're still a little much for the square lines of the tacoma. they look like they should be on a spaceship. I'd consider the smoked ones if they were a bit more subdued.

Well there was a backorder but I’m not sure if they are still back ordered or in stock, you can shoot an email to Alpharex USA to find out. I’m a fan of the red smoke vs the black.

I was thinking about making another video for night time, they don’t look as bright in my video because it’s during the day but they are brighter than the factory lights in my opinion. I will try to get a photo tonight and upload it here.

2020+ pro OEM pros looks the best. Just put my replacements on today. Have to run stock function for a while since my meso Stage two total tails won’t swap without an adapter. Tried to rip my old adapters out from the 17-19 pros and JB weld is no joke. Not coming out.

They are, but you end up with the stock halogen functionality. You still have to do an LED upgrade like the Meso kit if you want LEDs.
