This, but I've seen it done.

That was my thought too. One of those flags to let everyone else know a child dbag is on the streets.

    For off-roading, yes.
I cant tell you have many douchebag SXS owners i came across that are flying over hills and arounds blind corners here in AZ when out wheeling. Even if this just slightly increases your chance of being seen then i support it

Shit, I run a giant whip flag on my kayak and im out on flat open water. Nothing like getting run over by a wake boat while your just trying to catch a fish.

I'm not a fan, but I also don't make a habit of off-roading at night unless someone is hurt or broken-down. I don't run whips on my Quads or Dune Buggy either unless I'm in an area which requires them. When I bought my off-road car a couple of years ago one of my neighbors was trying to get me to add an LED light bar, lighted whips, the whole nine. I added two Hella 500's to the front bumper and a yellow LED strobe light to the rear (acts as a chase light, where I go it tends to be dusty). That's it.

On my Taco I've been very impressed with the stock LED headlights and driving lights. Hands-down the best headlights I've ever used.

    To each their own though.

I would like to introduce you to the stock halogen tacoma headlights... I have candles that are brighter than them. Wish toyota would of given us the LED headlights from the start.

How close is that to natural lighting? They really bright enough to see by? What brand are those? How are they powered?

They are bright as hell. When we are camping we will cook off the back of the truck and use them as lighting. They have several colors and modes.
I will run them up if we are on the way somewhere, but never lit up. DP is provocative enough without extra lighting.
They are Tusk 6' whips. I have them switched on my auxiliary electrical system.

Any idea how much power they draw? Might be interesting to experiment with them as replacements for propane lanterns.
