So I got some leds from super bright leds and they do not dim. I have the 74-xHP3 in red and also the WLED-xHP5 in red. I tried a normal halogen lights and they dim just fine. Did I get the wrong leds or is there something else that could be causing them not to dim.

As far as I know, dash LEDs don't really dim. They might dim a little as you turn the dimmer switch but eventually the little draw they pull will just turn them off.

Eh, see my Build Thread sig link. Too many mods to list.
My LEDs from superbright dim...to an extent. Madjik is correct that at a certain point they will just turn off (and vice versa). But turning the dimmer switch does have a noticeable effect and they go from kinda dark to OMG MY EYES! Glad I went with red so the burn at night isn't quite so bad. :)

The dimmer switch does nothing, but like you said the red isn't killer on the eyes. I was just worried because the longest I have driven at night was about 30-60min and now I am going to be driving about 4-5 hours.

Weird. I just went to take a couple of pics. It's a night and day difference between full on and just barely on. Unfortunately the pics show zero difference. Yay auto mode. :/

    ABS sucks.
LEDs don't pull enough power to pull down the PWM circuit in the dimmer assembly. Try installing ONE filament bulb in the cluster and see if that helps as an experiment...

I put the one filament bulb in and it dimmed the airbag switch just a little. The air bag switch bulb is also a filament bulb. I did not notice the leds dim but there might just need to be more of a load on the circuit.

The switch works on resistance if this helps. No resistance at full brightness and gradually more resistance makes the bulbs dim. LEDs dont really care how much power they receive and they still work, that's what makes them so universal. If you buy LED light bulbs for your house they have to say dim able on the pack or they wont dim. But all of this information is coming from a house electrician, maybe LEDs are different on dc than ac.
