I agree. I had LED's all the way around. The color is cool but not very visable. If you stood in one exact spot they were brighter but off a little to side could hardly see. I also am going for Silverstars.

Does anybody know if the interior map and dome light sizes have changed from the ones posted to a 2014 PreRunner?!

Highly doubtful. I've been in a 2014 offroad and they were the same as mine (prior to me swapping to led :D )

There is a large variety of LEDS available in terms of brightness, dispersion angle, and cost. LEDS that exceed the brightness and visibility of filament bulbs are out there from companies such as VLEDS but are much more costlier than replacing with a filament bulb.

EDIT see csjumper for quality LEDs

    VVT-i just kicked in yo!
I got the 44 mm festoon dome from super bright LEDs and the PCB is too wide. It will only fit if you make the PCB plane sit almost vertically and not horizontal which aims the light output at an angle instead of straight down. Disappointing.

    I guess I'll try the 39.

Searching for the part numbers indicated in the opening post, it appears the part numbers have changed? Can someone pls provide updated part numbers from superbrightled.com or another site? just don't want to order the wrong lights by mistake... Thanks!

I just order my kit from the website that Mianotti linked to. I didn't read the post until after I placed the order otherwise I would have ordered from you (MedlinAround) :(

Right now, all my dome lights stopped working and replacing the fuse (in engine compartment behind battery) blows the new fuse immediately. Hoping the short is in one of my existing dome lights and the new lights will fix this!

Looking to pull the trigger on some interior LED's as well as reverse and license plate lights.

Before I do anything, I am trying to figure out if I need CANbus LED's or not. My tail lights are LED but I know for a fact I don't have a bulb out indicator light either....

Any help is appreciated. May just call dealer in the A.M. :boom::burp:

Please do let me know what you find out.

I know the interior bulbs do not need CANbus, but I'm not sure about exterior - like the headlights.

My Toyota dealer was less than helpful which is very frustrating. "We don't recommend anything aftermarket" which I'm sure they are required to say that. Why the parts and service folk couldn't tell me a yes or no answer if I need a CANbus bulb is beyond my comprehension and somewhat infuriating. It seemed like all I could get were curt answers with slight attitude and I am a nice person.

I was told to purchase an electric wiring diagram from HelmInc.

Not sure what else to do unless I speak to a manager or corporate.

The light manufacturer said more than likely non CANbus will be fine for interior. CANbus will work with non CANbus bulbs but not vice verse.

I may bite the bullet and pull the trigger since I can exchange them with no problem within 30 days.

Interior red LED lights have already been done - about a week ago.

That being said I've always wanted to figure out if my LED headlights installed by a local shop really needed a CANbus or not.

I walked into that sale from them with absolutely no knowledge or research. From not knowing if I needed said part to the fact that LEDs can not be used in a stock halogen projector.

Did you just go with standard LED's for interior?

I may try contacting another dealer or corporate when I get a chance.

I'd like to convert my license plate and reverse lights though as well and do headlights/fogs last since I think those need different reflectors as well.
