Currently at the resort and able to reach some items but while unlocked, the glass door simply won’t open. Tried earlier in the AM and it was just not opening, though the center lock latch was turning.

There are some heat guns at the cabin when I get back down, but would it be somehow dangerous to try to force the tailgate open while the glass door is supposedly unlocked and frozen in place?

    Any other solutions? Thanks.

I find constant pressure helps. When you stand on ice, the ice melts slightly because the pressure you apply to it. By applying pressure to the door slowly and steady, it should slowly open. This is how I opened all my doors that have frozen multiple times in the cold snap we are currently having here.

I think it may be the spring latches— a truck neighbor had a similar capper and it looks like the wires just releases the spring latches, so they’re constantly latched, but free to open once the cables are pulled. Is that accurate?

Will yanking there tailgate with supposedly frozen (but technically unlocked while the center handle is turned) latches do damage?

I have had mine stick before when the center handle was turned and the latches were clear of the edges (meaning it should have opened).
I just kept bouncing and wiggling it while I pulled it and got it unstuck.

    Warm water eventually did it.
