Agreed, Expensive. But I bought it for the looks too.
My 100XL has frameless, but hinged at about 1/4 from the back (and screened).
The XQ is one piece and bends it's full length to open as posted above. Just Scary.
Mine is simple to replace, about 20-25 hex screws thru an inside frame into an outside frame attached to the glass, sandwiching the cap in between.
But cost of glass replacement is ridiculous if not covered by insurance.

I have the same top very happy with it but it was on the truck when i bought it. Lol i only paid 19k for a 06 with this top. 17k miles original. garaged, one 82 year old owner. I got so lucky never knew it was 2k for the top. Also the back of mine has a carpet kit with false floor and storage boxes

You're best bet for a replacement glass is to go through your local glass shop. Not auto glass - go to a residental co. that will cut glass suck as table tops and what not. You'll need to make a pattern of the piece you need - cut to fit with the corners rounded just like they will need to be for fitment. Cardboard works just fine for the template. Take that and either a piece of the old glass for thickness specs or measure the thickness of the otherside. Most likely its 3/16" thick. It will only be available in 3/16", 1/8", or 1/4". Then just tell the glass co. its tinted light/dark grey (it will either be a standard grey or a darker tinted glass called Greylite). If you show the Glass co. your leer they will easily know which grey to go with - the tint will be in the glass - not a film. Then just sit back and wait about a week for it to arrive and you can pick it up and install it - easy install. Shouldn't cost more than about $150.00 for any one of the larger pieces. Make sure you tell the company its tempered. They will either send off your template and have it made. Or get/cut the glass - and then send it off to be tempered.

This process will work for any 'flat-glass.' It works also if there is a slight bent in the glass as long as the frame that hold it is a little rigid. Much cheaper that ordering a new glass from leer. Just make sure the template you take is right - trim and fit first - and don't ask the glass shop to make the template for ya - it will get ya turned away..

That is solid to the point info. I appreciate that. I will give that a try., I need to find someone with the same glass locally now to copy it. Then hopefully they will cut the holes for me also/

I price shopped with 6 different companies and this was the best deal in So Cal I could find. This is seriously one dope camper shell though.

i just got mine used for 900! can you show me how it is sitting where the cap meets the bed in the front corners?

I found mine used on here. 100XQ I couldn't have gotten it otherwise. Drove 8 hours one way to get it. Paid $900. Couple scratches. Covered perfectly with touch up paint. Had it one week. Has full length screen on both sides.
