I purchased a LEER 100XQ and want to install Rails for racks. Is this had to do? Does anybody know the weight rating for the cap?

    From Leer FAQ:
When factory-installed on a LEER Model 100XQ, 100XL, 100XR, 100R, 180, or 122, the Thule Aero Bar and Tracker II Roof Rack systems have a maximum load capacity of 150 lbs. When factory-installed on a LEER Model 100RCC or 180CC, the Thule Professional Roof Rack system has a maximum load capacity of 400 lbs. There are other critical factors in safely carrying and securing loads to your roof rack – these factors are explained in the instructions provided by Thule with the roof rack.

They are not hard to install. http://lib.store.yahoo.net/lib/orsr...k-tracks-60-installation-instructions-pdf.pdf

I've used ors in the past, good company. http://www.orsracksdirect.com/thule-truckbed-topper-camper-shell-racks.html
I ordered my XQ with tracks so the installation would be covered under factory warranty.

Be sure to seal the bolt holes. My factory installed rack leaked until I pulled it off and used silicone to seal the holes/bolts.
Also suggest you check the brake light. The gasket on mine didnt even touch the cap, so when it rained or I washed the truck, I had a waterfall in the bed.

My tracks were supposed to be factory installed but weren't. The dealer installed mine. The installer laid out painters tape to avoid scratches during install.
