Leer 100xq remote fob unlock Q

I have a new to me (2020+MY, newest model(?), I believe, twist handle) topper I’d like to add the remote unlock to. Is there a standard Leer part or is the Pop and Lock kit enough? The camper also has the appropriate fuse box (and the 12v outlet, but for some reason the dome light doesn’t work).

 

Can't answer on the lock/unlock setup 100% as I haven't seen any newer model 100xq. However, my Snugtop has just a regular solenoid actuator that hooks onto the lock mechanism.
For the light, check for power at the fuse, at the light, and check if it uses a pin switch on the ground side (if so, verify good ground).
Also, from having a 100xq on my '07, you want to check the third brake light for a good seal. Mine had an oversized hole cut and the gasket didn't make contact with the canopy, allowing a waterfall to form inside anytime it rained or I washed the truck.

 

Is there power to the fuse box? Check with the parking lights off, then on.
My first Leer cap's light was tapped into the parking light circuit. I could only turn the light on from its switch if the parking lights were on.

 

Yes power to the fuse box, continuity up until the fuse.

 

Then I guess you have to check for power at the bulb terminal.
