Loaded Leer XR Shell. Paid $2,431.17 last year, asking $1700 for a like new shell.

Sold the truck, no need for the shell.

Thule Rack not included in sell price, add $300 for rack.IMG_2828.jpg FullSizeRender.jpg FullSizeRender.jpg IMG_1962.jpg

Northern... Ogden area. The shell is currently resting on my trailer, and I could rig it up to travel to meet a serious buyer. It would involve bolting the 4x4 posts its resting on into the trailer and running lags from the mounting points in the shell into the attached posts. Once saw someone transporting a shell strapped to a trailer with tiedowns; very cringe-worthy.

It's ideal for me. Better power, fuel economy and comfort. Lacking in off-road capability compared to the Tacoma, but I have a sxs for that stuff; I can tow it comfortably and economically now. I drive my car for city stuff, the truck is used for truck stuff no more compromise I "thought" I was getting with the taco.

Oh, and my friends like me again if they have to sit in the back seat. I am going to miss camping in the bed with the shell though.

I decided against the windoors for the following reasons:
    1. Dogs get better ventilation with the sliders open(can't really leave the windoor open while parked or driving with dogs) and I would hate for a dog to try to exit through the windoor. If you knew my dogs, you'd understand.
    2. To avoid leaning against the side of the truck and scratching up the paint with zippers, rivets, etc..
    3. With a lifted truck and a relatively small bed, the access is limited to what you can reach and what you can pass through the windoor.
    4. The added cost and bulbous knobs hanging off the side weren't that attractive either.

Man that is exactly what I've been looking for. Too bad I am on the other side of the country. Just curious but what kind of lift did you have on the old truck?

Icon Coilovers & rear shocks, SPC LR UCA, Dakar Leaf pack.

If I was to do it all over again, I would have just done the bilsteins with the 886(?) coils. No regrets on the dakars, they gave the desired lift but also increased capability for handling a load.

    So stock.
Any chance you'd be headed anywhere near CA soon? I have a silver DCLB on order and will be needing a shell.

Would you ship the Thule rack? Also are the pets screens something you could install yourself? I can't decide if I need them or not.

I could ship, but don't know what it will cost and may be next week before I could find out. I would recommend the pet screens from the factory, but you could probably put them on yourself, looks like a bunch of screws holding them in place. My last shell on my Tundra didn't have the petscreens and I'm not sure if it was a dog nose or something else that went through the screen initially, but dog noses were going through both sides before I knew it. Worth the investment in my opinion.

I bought it from Sam T Evans, pretty much the only Leer Dealer in No. Utah. I shopped around and they matched a lower price I was quoted out of Las Vegas. Unfortunately, it took forever for the shell to arrive and when it did, the glass seals were messed up so they replaced them. I went to check it out after the work was done to find gouged mark that was poorly touched up right at eye level on the front pf the shell. They ended up shipping a new one, it all worked out, but the process was a pain.

    Good Luck!
