Leer 100XR Pricing Increase

Loved my Leer XR. Got a good deal on a used one. Had a local shop paint match and total cost was about $1500. Ending up selling to purchase a RLD metal topper. Good deals are out there if you don’t mind used.

 

It’s for a point of reference, I just purchased a nice used Leer 6 foot cab height cap with sliding/screen side windows, sliding front window, built-in brake light for $750. It was white and my truck is red so I am having it painted for $600. I have seen caps cheaper, but I never went to see them so I don’t know if they were in as good of shape as this one is.

 

100XR w/options: Carpet liner, sliding windows with screen, sliding front removable glass, bed rails, keyless entry, color match Barcelona Red, short bed
OTD: $3499.48 (included install, wiring harness, standard whoop-de-dos)
Deposit placed Jan 17, install on Feb 20 (last week)

Ive been putting off ordering a 100XR. I think Ill get it ordered yet this week. Im excited.

 

Man, there are some awesome come ups throughout this thread. For those who paid new 2023 prices I feel your pain lol.

My 5ft 100XR based at $2700 before tax. I added the $169 sliding removable front window, $269 roof tracks, *free carpeted headliner and $170 off promotion until July 2023* My total after add ons, tax, and install is $3400. For those that feel bad they couldn't find one used, Leer's lifetime warranty only applies to the original purchaser of a new cap. I still feel robbed though...

 

I've heard its hit or miss when trying to claim a warranty with any of these shell companies but who knows. Hope I never have to do it.

 

Just looked at my receipt from 11/2021. Base price was 2119 but optioned up quickly. Headliner-$135, Keyless $200, 1 windoor (picture window/not slider $160), front removable slider $125, install $60.

 

very similar pricing to what I'm seeing in my area. Add 2 windoors for another $598, nuts.

 

The Leers look nice, but at these prices I'll probably buy and wait for a SmartCap. It comes with a lot of the add ons included plus I won't have to worry about weight on top.
