    Hello everyone,

I recently purchased a Leer 100XR cap for my 2013 Tacoma TRD Sport. I’m extremely satisfied with how the cap looks, however, I’m starting to notice water leaks in both of the back corners of the truck bed. I attempted to fix this by applying silicone in the corners where I thought the leak was coming from but that hasn’t worked. Has anyone else experienced this?
    Thanks!

I just fixed mine by making a skirt that redirects water away from the back window seal and off the truck. I’m on a 3rd gen but I’m sure the design for the canopy is the same.

Mine is doing the same thing but much worse now. I have the 100XQ and have tried silicone as well but it still leaks. I also had roof rails installed ont he top from factory so I can add a rack later, and its leaking in from the rails and leaking out in random spots through the carpet on the inside. After researching a bit it looks like this is very common with the newer LEER shells. Very disappointing.... I paid $2,880 for a leaky camper shell. SMH. Taking it in for warranty on Tuesdsay.

I just took mine to a LEER dealer and they put a garden hose up to the side windows and water poured through all over the place, and they confirmed the roof rails were leaking really bad as well. He admitted this was the worst shell he has seen in his career as far as manufacturer defect. he said they found out the holes for the windows were cut too big.
Apparently they do not use jigs and just use handheld power saws to cut the fiberglass o_O. So the rubber seals couldnt do their job since there were gaps in the fiberglass. The roof rail system was only sealed about 1/2 way with silicone and looks like helen keller did it. And also 3 bolts were cross threaded on the rails?? Are the guys at the LEER factory working drunk? haha. Anyways, they are covering it under warranty, you just have to give them your receipt of purchase and LEER ships your shell out to CA then ships you a new one. I will post updates after I get the new replacement. It might be a 2-3 week process. I'm going to replicate the water test and post the video so you guys can see how bad it is.
