    I did some searching before I posted, but came up short handed. Anyways, awhile back my 3rd brake light stopped working. It wasn't until now that I put two and two together and realized it probably stopped working after I took my tail lights out to put my led turn signal bulbs in. Any ideas where it came unplugged from? I know its wired into the brake light but couldnt find anything. Thanks.

    The installer could have tapped into the wiring anywhere. Your best option is to start at the third brake light and follow the wires backwards...

    Mine had a connector that you could plug in and unplug as you please. If that's how yours is it should either be behind the tail light or attached to the side of the bed or shell somehow. Mine was a black plug on some red and black wiring. This was for the 100XR shell and on a Tundra so it could've been different.

    I'll check out those options. I dont believe it burnt out, all the LEDs were in working order the last time I noticed it was working

    A few mods here and there and counting....
    Trace the two wires from the 3rd brake light. Double check the connection at the taillight afterwards. It's really easy. I just replaced my 3rd brake light on my snugtop shell. I rewired it with a 2 pin waterproof connector and tapped/soldered the wires off the tail light. If memory serves me correctly, it was green/red and white/black.

    That is really a shame considering you can grab a hot at the tail light plug and just stick a wire in the back without any splicing, cutting or snap junction clips. It is only an 2-wire connection and one of those is a ground to body. PO fool didn't have a clue.
