I've run snugtop for over 15 years on my tacomas with zero issues.

This truck has a 2200.00 ARE cap and the quality is still very good.
In the southwest the dirt/dust is the enemy not rain or moisture ...

Oh and a PRINSU is a MANDATORY accessory .

Well I'd like to say Leer but they havent got the mold correct for my truck yet. This will be my 3rd new cap built so lets hope 3rd times a charm. Front of cap kept on sitting on my bed chipping my paint. Plus the first cap that was built had a gap between back window and cap so big I could stick my fingers between them. Hope you have better luck.

I have a Leer 100XL on my 2016 Limited and am very happy with it. Had to do some waterproofing to the Tacoma Bed though, which is no fault of the Leer Canopy.

Went with a Snugtop Rebel and it's worked great so far. Color matches well and construction seems good. Haven't noticed any leaks either.

I didn't have much of a preference for a brand so I went to truck shop with good reviews and they recommended the Snugtop. I think having a good dealer that will stand behind the product is just as important as the topper manufacturer.

I have had 2 Leer's and both are ok.
My brother has a SnugTop and the quality is far superior.
If they sold them on the east coast I wouldn't even consider another option. I even tried to have one shipped but it was way too much.
