I have recently found a used leer camper top that im thinking about purchasing, but the topper is maroon and my truck is white, so i would have to get it painted, plus it doesnt have the keys for the lock and doesnt have the mounting hardware, but it is in excellent shape. No scratches, weather stripping is good, seals are good. Just curious what you guys think it is worth? Seriously been thinking about getting it, but not sure what would be a good price. It has the sliding windows on the side, double handle locks and is the smooth top. Thanks for any help.

Can you re-key the locks on those? I wouldn't buy it if I couldn't lock it.

if it has the key code stamped on the plate where the the key goes in, its no problem. if not, a good locksmith shoyld be able to make a key to it. where i live, it should be $45-$85 to key.

Im not sure on the keycode. I went over and looked at it in th dark yesterday. It looks pretty good but the hardware not being there, and the keys not there made me kinda ancy about it. What do you guys think is a good price for it?

That's the same shell I have. Ok, so it's in good shape but used, needs to be re-keyed, re-painted and needs hardware. I wouldn't pay more than $500 for it.

Yea I love it. No leaks, no complaints. I wish I had gotten the fold down slider but that's my own fault

Had two keys made for the tonneau that came on my 2013 I just bought for about $25. Just had a key made for a bike Yakima bike rack for about $23. Neither had codes on the lock. Keys shouldn't be a big issue.

Weathertech floor liners moded to hold OEM floor mats, weathertech vent visors, Toyota bed mat, LEER 100XL cap, hood gasket mod to stop whistling.
My LEER 100r had dual handles with a key number stamped on the center. My 100XL has a single center handle with a key number printed on it. Even if it has the cheaper dual handles, these things eventually fail anyway because of salt around here, replacements would be no issue. I would bet that you could get a key at the LEER dealer based on that number anyway. I surely wouldn't let locks ruin the deal, nor would I the hold down hardware.

You're going to have some $ tied up in a paint job plus locks and hardware. I think that $500 or less would be a great deal. That cap is probably $1300-$1500 new. I can say that my last 100R was 7 years old when I traded my truck and it was as good as new. The only issue was the 3rd brake light lease faded.

I believe this one is a 100r. Can someone take a picture of how it is mounted to the truck, like from the inside of it. Id like to see the mounting hardware, so i can look it up and kind of get an idea of how it goes on and what it will cost to get it.

Just ordered a century topper (same company as leer) and it was $1400. $350 is a smokin deal. Figure $250 for keys and paint and you're still less than half

I had a Leer on my last truck. The dealer sells new locks because they do wear out and/or get damaged. Don't have a topper on my Taco but they really are a usefull addition.

Got my Leer 100R used (Craigslist) a few years ago for $500, which I thought was a good deal at the time.

Bought a used ARE about a year ago myself, as far as the key part, I just took mine to my local DFW Camper Corral, they keep master keys, charged me exactly $10 plus tax. Just got one, but will be returning to get a spare. For the paint, I just plasti dipped mine flat black. Took about 4 cans. Will probably throw another couple cans on it this spring. It's amazing how well this stuff holds up
