depending on the options you have on it like sliding/fold down front window, carpeted headliner, thule channels/rails with cross bars up top, and sliding windows or windoors, im pretty sure they go for 1500-2500 new. I paid 500 for mine used and it came with thule rails/crossbars up top, carpeted headliner, and sliding windows with bug screens. It does have a solid front window, but its on my base model access cab, so I don't have a slider on that one anyways.

Edited to add: I bought a white one and then color matched it to timberland mica myself for about 200 in materials

Hmm okay. I paid $800 for this one. It has a sliding front window, carpet headliner, and sliding windows. I almost got a similar one for $600 but it sold the same day it popped up on Craigslist :annoyed:

that seems like a fair deal to me! was it color matched already? and yeah it seems like shells are starting to become more popular. whenever I see them on craigslist for a good price, they don't last long at all. I forgot to mention I drove 5 hrs one way to go pick mine up. The guy I bought it from had it listed for 450 and I offered him 500 to take down the ad so he didn't sell it to someone else

Yeah it was a bit of a drive, but I was headed down that way anyways to get a clutch installed so it worked out nicely. I'm sure the two similar silver's look better than when i first got mine. I couldn't stand the white on dark green! drove me crazy!

I paid $699 for mine and it was brand new, still screwed to the shipping pallet. It was a case of "right place, right time." It was Silver Streak metallic and I painted it one weekend when the shop was quiet and the booth was empty...
I suspect that because the only 5' beds up here are M/T trucks, whoever at the Truck Outfitters originally ordered it wrong. They sat on it for over 2 years...

Raider Cobra, but LEER 180 is identical since it's the same parent company...

i think you can tap into the 12v wire of your trailer harness for the dome light too.....i think.
And ground to the same place as your third brake light.

Okay I'll check for a 12v. I guess my question then is will that wire always have power even when the key is off.

im pretty sure this way of doing it. you'll have to have your lights on in order to get power to it.

Depending on how bright your light in the camper it is sometime hard to see in certain situation if you left the light on. I've done it a couple of times. At least having the lights on the key switch you are guaranteed you will not drain your battery. Just my $.02

My light inside the Leer is only available when the lights are on, so from what I’m reading, I’ll need to run a fused hot wire back through the frame and come up into the little fuse box in the leer, and run a separate wire to the tail light bypassing the dome light. Wonder why they wired them in series?

Wiring to the tail light is the easiest way to get constant power to the dome light, and it's reasonable to think that you'll only use the dome light when it's dark, and usually the truck lights would be on as well. It can be a little inconvenient at times, but in the 12 years that I've had my Leer cap, I've only used the dome light a handfull of times.
