    Hey everyone,
New member, first time poster and about to be a first time Toyota owner. I've bought the 2020 TRD Sport in magnetic grey metallic. Just waiting on the call from the dealer to tell me it's there and ready to be picked up.

After reading some threads and watching some videos on the Leer hf350m and seeing it had quite a few points where water would enter the bed when on the Tacoma. Leer has put out a quad hard fold flip tonneau cover ( hf650m ) which was released last November. I've searched quite a bit for reviews etc on this model and yet can only find a handful of promotional or installation videos.
Do any of you have the hf650m on your Tacoma sport and how well does it keep water out? Leer's website says it'll fit the 2020 Tacoma.

    Thanks.

I just ordered one. Was told it could be here in a couple days to a couple weeks. If I don't think to report back on it please feel free to reach out and I could post pictures and first impressions.

Here's the LEER HF650M tonneau cover installed on my 2020 long bed:

Super happy with my first impressions of quality, fit, and looks.

I just got one, same good first impression as @spinloop. Also, i washed the truck today and the bed was bone dry.

Last week we had a strong storm with hours of heavy driving rain and a little water got in through the small gap above the tailgate. While it wasn't perfectly dry inside it was certainly dry enough for my use case which is primarily holding my windsurfing stuff (boards/sails/mast/boom etc) and the only thing I really need to keep try is my wetsuit so I don't have to put it on wet. I would recommend this tonneau cover to others based on my experience so far.

Did you have to take off the Toyota bed rails to install the Leer rails for the 650M?

I have the HF650M on my 2018 long bed since July and love it. It did arrive with a missing part and a broken part and I am still working with Leer on getting the replacement parts (not impressed).

The only water intrusion I see is at the very back. I assume it is coming in at the top of the tailgate. Once my replacement parts arrive, I will be taking it off and will pay attention to the reinstall.

It came with two long strips of foam and a roll of butyl tape that were not mentioned in the instructions. Leer provided me with better directions on where they are to be used. They also provided better direction on how the clips install into the existing rail system.

It also comes with a 3 year warranty, which I think is better than others.

Bed covers make a huge difference. Especially here in Montana, no more bed full of snow.

Did not know Bak had that kind of warranty. Would have looked at it closer had I known.

@PEIHank Thank you, I'm attracted to the Leer account no drain tubes.

My research has lead me to the Leer 650.... hate the price... I hope I love the cover.
It's either this or go cheap with the pro x15! LOL

Any Leer owners want to chime in?

The Leer is the first tonneau cover I've ever owned and I've only had it since July. So I'm not sure I'm in a position to break a tie between the Leer and say a Bak MX4 (which was fairly close in price, at least here in Canada).

I can say that I like the Leer very much thus far.
