A couple of days ago I was dropping my boys off and heading to a different location. I managed to pull away with the window up on the Leer cap, but it seemed to be OK.

Then the left hydraulic arm popped off the top mount. I put it back on and it seemed OK. A couple of uses later and it popped off again.

Tomorrow I'm going to try taking a closer look, but I'm guessing one of two things - bent shaft or damaged joint.

Does anyone have similar experience? Anything in particular I should be looking for? Good place to get a new one?

    TIA!

If the strut is damaged, you can get them at any auto parts store. They probably won't have an exact match, so you'll need two.

Look at the retainer clip on the strut. it could be bent, or just didn't seat all the way when you popped it back on. push the strut in place and look for any gap around the retainer. It should nest snugly.
