I'm thinking windoor on one side but with a tool box inside.
Unless you are 7' tall, I can't imagine being able to reach anything laying on the floor of the bed through a windoor ?

As I’m thinking about 2 windoors on an ARE I just went outside to check it out.
I’ve shrunk down to just under 6’2”.

Standing beside the bed I placed the 7” wide owners manual case on the bed rail and under my armpit and was able to touch the bed mat, so no problem with the height of the rail or canopy. The truck is lifted just over 1 inch.

    Excellent, Good to know !
I think it's a handy feature cause EVERYTHING finds it's way to the front or sides of the bed at the end of the trail

I found this Snugtop Rebel with sportsman package and windoors via craigslist. The previous owner also threw in his custom drawer system. Only thing is that he didn’t have one side of the wiring harness and there were a few scratches on the rear drivers side pillar. How did I do?

I'm 5'11 and my wife is 5'7. We went camping last week and the accessibility provided by the windoors paid for themselves in one trip. I'm pretty sure they are her favorite mod we've done to the truck .

    Obligatory picture because why not.

I like Snugtop, I have one on a 2013 and a 2016 and they have been holding up to lots of road trip/camping/fishing trip abuse just fine. Windoors make camping a lot easier!

I'm a little bias, but go with the Snugtop. I'm on my third Snugtop Canopy and have been very pleased with the quality of each shell.

I just got my Snugtop rebel on 2 weeks ago. I was able to get the sportsman’s package (extra weight capacity) along with Yakima tracks, fold down sliding front window, and upgraded handle that locks with my remote, for $2300 OTD. Shopping around saved me $1200 getting away from the only dealer in town. Love the Snugtop. Friend had an ARE Overland on his 3rd and it cracked from the weight of a RTT. I will sleep well at night knowing my shell can support all the weight that will be above it.

I have a Leer and love it. For $1300, it was an easy decision. I mainly got it for hauling around the doggies as well as taking the wife on some upcoming camping trips this spring/summer, but it will also come in handy when I have all of my hunting gear and clothing next fall.

Idk if its just me, do the rear pillars on Snugtop Rebels look really large/wide? Does anyone have problems with blind spots? Im looking to purchase a snug top or leer soon. I want to get side windoors and am leaning toward the snugtop because you can upgrade to the sportsman package for more weight capacity, but aesthetically Im leaning to the leer 100xq.

I've never had a problem. I did notice when it changed to the 3rd gen the amount of rear window looked smaller in my rear view mirror then the 2nd gen, but other then that no complaints and I wish they had the sportsman i would of totally got that instead then the standard rebel.

As a former Leer Owner, I will NEVER IN MY LIFE but anything from them again. Total crap, leaked all the time, moved around and fucked up my paint whenever I off-roaded. Constantly messing with it and never getting it right. Dealer support was trash too. Also, their lines don't line up and look the worst vs any other options, especially on the tacoma. Sorry to guys with Leers, but I lived and learned, it was great for like 6 months then couldn't hold up. Don't even get me started on how cheap I had to get rid of it because no one wanted it after. The installer for my bakflip literally offered me $100 on a 2k model that was less than 2 years old.

Looking at a similar cap with the side windoors. Im thinking of eventually adding either a Frontrunner or Ezi awn flat stack over the cab and cap. How well do the roof lines match up? It looks like the Snugtop might sit slightly above the truck cab, maybe just the picture.

Anyone with a shortbed canopy and rack. What length tracks are you using?
