So, driving back from my buddies house, last night, with a cigar in one had and shifting and driving with the other. THIS time turning on/off the high beams is just a thought away. I live in PA and when driving on a 2 lane road in the dark you want the high-beams on as much as possible, deer are plentiful in PA.

Still tweaking this for full time use. I have inadvertently turned on the high beams when getting into the car twice now. Next mod is going to have the button inset further and see if that helps with every day driving.

I almost ordered a second foot rest and did the mod that merged 2 of them together but it turns out my big ol foot can't move up further since it bumps into the 3rd peddle. The nice thing about this switch is it does require some pressure to turn it on/off so resting your foot on it won't turn it on (normally). If I can get the switch far enough down where I can rest the side of my foot on the footrest then it should work. Will work on the mod this weekend.

    Boot won't move up.

Can inset the switch by another inch or so.

So, I decided I didn't like just the button on the dead pedal. To easy to turn the high beams on plus I can't fully rest my foot on the pedal without depressing the switch.

Decided to create a new dead pedal / switch. First cut. Bolted in using a connector nut and a bolt to where the plastic grommets were to hold in the original dead pedal. Screws sticking out on the other side just enough to catch the carpet. One spring in now but may add another if needed (don't think so). Will cover the wires later and maybe paint it black. Used a good solid hickory and whatever else was in my shop.
