    Got the flash of death even after replacing bulb. Worked for a while then quick flash. Is this a wiring issue

    What's the bulb socket looks like? May be a burnt/bad connection in the socket.

    Have you tried wiggling on the bulb with it on to see if it works intermittently?

    Should be a 4157 but the only difference between 3157 and 4157 is the wattage, socket is the same.

    Have you took the RF bulb out and tried it in the left?..

    Weirdness.

    after trying 3 brand new orange bulbs I put in a clear and so far it’s working.

    Yea. I’d feel kinda stupid calling Toyota service for blinker bulbs.

    but I do wonder what the mark up is

    It really sounds like the issue is in the socket, the only difference between the NA and the NAK bulbs is the NAK bulbs supposedly stay cooler so as to not melt the housing being that they are the DRLs.

    I see alot of issues with bad connections in those type of sockets, sometimes you can take a diamond file and clean them up but if they are burnt/melted it's better to just replace the socket.
