Just wondering if anyone here has had any trouble with the JBL system in their 2016 Tacoma? Mine is only 2 weeks old and the left front dash speaker quit working. I've had several new vehicles in my life and there has always been something go wrong with each of them shortly after buying them, so I don't find it all that unusual.

Some type of sensor in the transmission on the Kia Sorento we traded in left me stranded 2 days after buying it new. They replaced it and it never gave any other trouble. The radio in a 2002 Mazda 626 we bought new quit working a month after buying it and the dealer replaced it. The funniest new car story I remember, is the 1993 Mustang LX 5.0 5sp I bought new in August of '93. Apparently the 2 front bolts on the passenger seat wasn't installed at the factory. The next morning while giving my cousin a ride and making the 1-2 gear change, it rocked the sat back and fucked it all up. My cousin about shit himself....GOOD TIMES!!!! The dealer ended up replacing the passenger seat.

Anyway, I have an appointment at the stealership today at 3:00 to have it checked/replaced. Hopefully, this will be the worst trouble we ever have.

Do you need to know, or care?
Never had a problem, probably just a wire off, dealer will find it. Had a rear speaker in my old Ranger quit on me one day, changed out under warranty. That was the only problem I had with that truck for 5 years.

Mine sounds like it vibrates or the tone is slightly off intermitently. I have a 40 mile drive to work and the dealer is close by. It vibrated until I got off the highway and then stopped. I haven't been able to get it there while it was happening. Same speaker though.

The subwoofer in the drivers side door makes a clicking noise while my radio is up. It only does it in certain songs at certain times and it's so annoying. It sounds just like someone clicking a pen. I took it to the dealership and couldn't get it to do it for them so they pretty much think I'm crazy. I had to wait forever just to have the JBL system and it makes this stupid noise! So FRUSTRATING!!

Not that problem, but my JBL might as well not have speakers in the back. The sub woofer is fine, but the door speakers don't contribute a thing.

They said they can't change it until they can hear it themselves. I'm going to try and record it or something

It's fixed. You nailed it Greg...the wire was off. I was only there 15 minutes, probably the shortest time I've ever spent waiting at the Stealership. Heading to the beach tomorrow for the week, so I'm glad they got it fixed.
