Yea that’s the same here. Sometimes I get it at the top of the bump, others at the bottom of the bump

Could be the body/cab mount bushing.

you said your was your aftermarket skid plate correct? im running stock and have the noise... feel like it cant be a skid plate if im just getting the noise in the snow. Let me know if you make any headway though. I guess ill have to wait to see if it decided to fix itself over the summer? Ha

I have a clank again.... I had changed all my suspension and it went away. I returned to stock and now the noise is back, only over speed bumps. But it's not every time.

Have the same problem and took mine to dealer. Told me There’s a lower control arm washer that gets bent and makes the noise but Toyota has not came up with a solution. Waste of time that place is.

I took my 18’ back to the dealer within the first month for a similar noise in the same area when going over bumps. My dealer couldn’t figure it out. I swapped to full Mobtown skids now and it stills there sometimes so I know it wasn’t the stock skids. I feel it mainly in the gas pedal. My sounds makes a “boing” sound with it too usually and happens mainly on slow lefts with hard bumps. Only happened once off road, which was recent. Mainly happens when making a left over the dip into my community. I thought I read a thread that said it may be ABS system doing a self test/check??

For all of you, torque those Lower control arm alignment cam bolts/nuts to 130ft#'s and 99x out of 100, your problem will go away.

If you had new tires mounted or had the tire off the wheel to do maintenance, I had a tech leave a damn valve stem cap inside my tire and mounted it that way. Ticked and pinged like crazy, drove me drove me insane for a week. Crazy right??

And like someone else said check sway bar and endlinks.

Had this same symptom coming from the same area for a while. I have not heard anything since replacing my OEM shocks 7-8 months ago. I don't know if it was something internal to the shocks or an installation issue but it seems to be gone. I did the installation and torqued everything to spec myself before getting an alignment. Used a 150 ft-lb torque wrench and pulled like hell.

Are you asking how to torque them? For 3rd gen Tacos, you'll need a 22mm socket and a torque wrench that is capable of going up to 130ft#'s
