Left rear door latch mechanism, where to find?

    2001 PreRunner Double Cab, Red
    The driver side rear door on my '01 Double Cab PreRunner makes an awful clanking sound when closing. I've replaced both front door mechanisms and would really like to change the rear one as well, but that particular part seems to be nonexistent. I can find the door lock actuator, which I assume attaches to the latch mechanism, but the latch is just not to be found. Oddly, I can find plenty of right side latches. Searched all the usual places; RockAuto, 1A Auto, LKQ, eBay, online shops such as toyotapartsdeals.com, all to no avail. Any suggestions? Or is there a fix to the clanking noise short of replacement?
