Hey everyone, just got a new to me 2012 Tacoma, and love it! Got home and noticed the left side of the rear bumper is lower. I can’t find any damage to paint, or anywhere where it looks like something may have been hit. Is there a way to fix this without going to a body shop?

Lay on the ground and use your feet to push it back up. The stock bumpers are thin and bend pretty easy. Worth a shot!

I bent mine in and up slightly after hitting a hard snow bank backing slowly out of the driveway. I straightened it with a pipe wrench . You may want to pad the jaws with tape as you appear to have a painted bumper. Mine is chrome. They are very flimsy and it doesn't take much to bend them either way.

I’m going to get up under it and see if a bracket is bent, if not I’m going to just push on it

Probably you can unbolt the bracket if bent and straighten that easily too.

Put a board against bottom of bumper and jack it up with a hydraulic bottle jack.
