Thanks that helps a lot! I'm shooting for a 2"/1.5" lift with Fox 2.5s and Alcan springs next week and am trying to nail down which tire I want. My truck is daily driven mostly on country roads and some city driving and am looking for a smooth ride. Was the jump from KO2's to the Geolanders a noticeable difference in comfort? I like the Geo's for the 255/85 size but am wondering if it's too much for daily use.

When aired down for sure. The geolanders are like marshmallows.
They are kinda heavy. Honestly if I was daily driving I would stay with the 265x75 x16 That's actually a really capable size tire. And you don't take as much of a power and gas mileage hit.

But bigger tires fill bigger holes and make for a nice ride.

So I'll try and get this updated.
So after the moab trip my steering rack was shot ,leaking like a sive. I did try some additives but it just got worse and my pump was sounds pretty angry.
I ended up getting a re manufactured rack from a local company. For a decent price and a lifetime warranty. I also got new hoses made and cleaned out the screen wich was totally blocked and just kept the stock pump.
    20220111_172746.jpg 20220111_174109.jpg
The little transmission jack has been my little buddy helping me to do a majority of the work on my truck by myself.
I did run into a couple of snafus ,the upper bolt on the passenger side of the rack decided it no longer wanted to have the nut tread onto it. Luckily I happened to have a spare bolt that fit. And after I was finished the truck was still making noise which ended up being the lower pully. I just replaced it with a auto parts store one but I plan on getting a new bearing and replacing it.

At the end of the trai the truck was making a popping noise, wasn't sure if it was a bad cv or the ball jts. Ended up being a bad ball jt. Luckily we made it home without any issues.

That's the plan. Although I'm gonna still be rocking my saggy rear springs. Otherwise it should be good.

Love this truck, it looks awesome. It has a nice stance to it the cap is so useful. Trying to decide if I want to get a contractor cap for mine.

    Thanks man !!!
Being able to access the bed from the sides is such a convenience. If you don't mind the look I definitely recommend it!

Here my photo dump from the trip.
Meeting in Needles to top off and get started.
    20220316_102920.jpg
    The penny tree
    20220316_124027.jpg
We rolled through a Joshua tree forest towards the stone cabin.
Thes was some excitement on the trail. Alan disappeared down a big hill carrying alternating rear tires
Through the massive ruts. When we went it's was weird to feel the back end shift to the side as it droped.
I tried to get some pics of Mike's offrad limo going down but they never do it any justice.
    20220316_133957.jpg
    20220316_134018.jpg
We stopped athe stone cabin I unfortunately forgot to get a pic. We opted to do the hike the next morning and pushed on to find a campsite. We tried to take the trail back as far as we could but there was a jeep blocking the road and there were other people camping there. So we went back to a site that we had seen earlier which ended up being pretty awesome.

The rocks resembled all kind of different animals and fish. But we dubbed the spot dick rock.
Our elevation was at 5k plus .with the wind blowing it made for a cold night. Everyone went to bed relatively early.

    Day 2 .
It was a pretty cold morning. It took a while to get going. I got up early ish because I thought my stepson was up looking for food. He wasn't, but he was still asleep or was trying to sleep as everyone else was up and chatting.
We drove back to the stone cabin to hike the loop and when I rolled 3nd I was informed the my knock off trash-a-roo had given up the ghost. I thought it might have been jumping the cattel guard. But upon further inspection the treads on the seams gave away. After the hike I went back and was able to pick up the contents that were in the bag which was only fire wood and was spread out over 100 yards or so and was only about 1/2 mile back down the road.
We the set of to see the government hole. Which was a dryer up well with a windmill. Mike climbed
Up to the top to check out the gears. I think he just likes to climbing things.
    20220317_130511.jpg 20220317_130536.jpg
The main road became pretty smooth ,we knocked out some easy miles but had great views.
    20220317_133042.jpg
My sort of navigator appeared to be having a good time.

Thanks the stills are just with my phone S21ultra and the videos are with a gopro hero 9.
There are deserts in Organ and Idaho that are similar. Not sure what part of Canada your in. But we probably have the best deserts here in the south west. You can always join your fellow County man and be a winter visitor and enjoy it in the best time of year.

One day we’ll get down there, when I bought my 80 series we had a trip planned to moab and the surrounding area and then COVID shut that plan down. Hopefully we’ll get out there soon!

    Mojave Trail.
    There was a sign post.

But everyone was more interested in the railroad tracks.
    20220317_134056.jpg 20220317_134301.jpg 20220317_134322.jpg
There were many more miles to go.
    20220317_134141.jpg
As soon as we hit this road there was a lot of talk about long travel suspension. There was just big rollers for miles, which will take its toll on your bladder. Soon there was another mine.that we stopped and looked at ate some lunch and talked about were we were going and the plans for camp.
I didn't get any pics of the mine but there was some interesting concrete fountain looking structures. I did get a pic of the trucks parked.
    20220317_145736.jpg
After a while longer we came upon the mail box.

There were some memorials and themed bushes hidden near by.

The land scape became more volcanic in nature as we meandered down the trail looking for camp. We had hoped to camp at a waterfall of sorts but were beaten by a 4th gen 4runner by 10 minutes. But we were able to find a nice camp a little further down the wash which ended up being a great spot as 2 of our party were using a tent and cot ,they were able to sleep in a protected cove from the wind. We were able to set up camp just in time to see an awesome sunset and we were treated to a full moon that night so extra light wasn't really needed. Even though it was no were near as cold as the night before we lit a fire and shared food and booze. Was a great end to the day.
