That is about what I was guessing...24-25 hwy. No way it would hit 30...unless a hybrid or deezul.

While not quite enough to get me off the couch, good improvement from the out going model...much needed step up in hp/tq...with a bit of mileage gains. Will be a decent little truck.

I dunno, not many fullsize trucks are getting that according to fuelly. They can barely crack 20 hwy, unless you hyper-mile it.

I know everyone swears by fuelly, but from someone who owned a new Silverado briefly as a mistake for 6 months I consistently got 19-20 city and 23-25 hwy from the 5.3L and that's not from just the dummy computer, actual numbers.

Some can get it...but the majority don't. Best a couple of my dirt bike buddy's can get out theirs is 18-19 hwy, and that is driving conservatively.

What I am noticing... a couple few of my buds are going to Subarus and TDi VW's...and a light weight 3 rail aluminum trailer....tired of feeding their pickups.

Several are pretty excited about the diesel Colorado coming out. Basically Subaru gasser fuel economy, but in a pickup.

Im a dirt bike buddy, loaded with my bike in the back I was getting that doing 70 on the hwy to the local track, do they have the new ecotec ones or the older version, not trying to be a nag, just hate when people throw stuff out and don't have the first hand knowledge. My buddy is already on the list for a diesel Colorado, he's trading in his 2nd gen for it, tried to talk him out of it and will continue to everytime we ride/talk.

I moded 1999 Taco so much it had turned to Land Cruiser
I may actually go for Diesel Colorado too. It has enough towing for me, I can deal with DPF system np.
But I have to see Titan XD in person first.

That Titan is ugly as hell.... And IMHO way worse than the Tacoma ever could be.

Both...ecotecs are getting a little better 20-21...but no 23-24. Still... not bad for a fullsize truck. Seem like good trucks to me, but no manual trans is a deal killer for me. Even the wife wants another vehicle with a manual trans. Our SUV is an auto and she wants to get rid of it. Even though I don't care for the DCSB Taco, most likely end up with one, since I already have an extra cab, might even ditch that and get an Access Cab for me.

I am liking the specs on the Colorado...again...no manual trans is a real pisser. I don't care for autos at all.

I just can't justify a diesel. The gassers tow enough for me. And i don't think the extra mpg will offset the diesel price (about 10cents more here), def, premium when u buy it and extra maintenance cost.

The released the hp/tq specs already nothing on mpg yet.

whatever EPA specs on the taco is and the collie..... figure 20% less for a gasser, and 20% more for the diesel.
