I imagine MPG specs should be sooner rather than later. Should be interesting.

It is usually a wash in the end. Though I drive about 18-20,000 miles a year, might worth to me...that and as of now the Colorado has the Tacoma beat by 200 lbs in payload. I am have been wanting a Four Wheel Camper slide in...it will still be overloaded, but should yank around the camper, and my moto trailer carrying 2-3 dirt bikes, with ease.

In all reality, in my case...if I get a FWC, be much better off with a 3/4-1 ton truck.

And the Tacoma's not? Titan has a better looking front end than the Tacoma.

They both have been beaten with the ugly stick pretty hard...

I was looking at a mid 90's F250 sitting a beside a new F150 the other day...my gaaawd the grills have gotten so huge over the years. I don't know who the target market is, guys with inferiority complexes I guess, giant cod pieces is what they are.

    Word Up....my brothers...

Imo the New Titan is the ugliest truck I've ever seen. I love the way the Tacoma looks I even like the grill. The Titan has the ugliest front end of any truck ever. So to each their own.

I think the whole "Why get a mid size when I can get a full size for similar price?" question has been beaten to death. If you have the money to drop $40k on a Colorado you are doing it not because you have limited funds, but because you want a mid sized truck that isn't a huge behemoth. Automakers are trying to entice people who are put off by a huge truck that they cannot fit into their garage. I'd say it's working by looking at sales figures. Dealers are having no problems moving mid size truck units right now.

I don't know why people pigeon hole themselves with small garages, I mean...you choose where to live...hell, I had RV parking at our last house, I could get two DCLB Tacomas in there and then some. And really...it is a truck, and can live outside if need be. Of course seems like a lot of you guys live in those uptight sphincter clenching HOA 'hoods...not me though...did that once with the ex-wife...never again.

That said...if you don't need such a huge truck....the diesel Colorado might be the better buy, especially if it is going to get 10-15 mpg's better out of it compared to a half ton. For an example most of my buds with the EcoBoost...can barely average 17 out of them.

I certainly don't need a fullsize for 90% of the stuff I do...only looking at them because of a FWC camper...which might be on the truck 10% of the time.

Did Daewoo design it? I take back anything negative about the Tacoma looks. It could be a lot worse.

I can't wait for actual real world specs from real people driving a real purchased truck sold to the general public. Glad I've got 3 more years before I'll be in the market. That will be plenty of time to have it tested on a large population of Tacoma "lab rats".

Based on what I'm getting from my 2015 v6 4x4 DCLB, that is almost no improvement. That's about 1 mpg better.

Those numbers are based on what the EPA estimates. For a 2015 V6 4x4 the EPA estimates 16/21/18. 2016 estimates 19/24/21. Whatever you get now you can expect to get +3 in the city and highway.

Wrong info. Your looking at the 4x2. The new V6 Tacoma with 2WD and the automatic transmission will return an EPA-estimated city/highway/combined mpg of 19/24/21. With 4WD and the manual transmission, the engine will return 17/21/19 and with the automatic and 4WD it will return 18/23/20.
