Just wondering if there is any interest in getting a little more legroom in their Taco...

I did a drive from Phoenix to Bozeman, MT this summer, and a couple more inches would have been heavenly (I know... that's what she said).

Anyway, there is this company called extendmyseat.com that makes custom fabricated brackets that do this, but they don't have any for Tacoma's.

If this was on the market for about $150, would you be interested?

I have those is a Prius I used to drive, the Tacoma has good amount of leg room I'm 6'6" with long legs.

On second thought, I'll have to check my truck tonight I may have installed extensions in there. :anonymous:

I would buy them at that price point if the quality was good

(or steal the design and fab them myself)

I've found that the leg room is adequate, the issue is that the steering wheel wont extend far enough backwards and i have to move my seat up to comfortably reach the wheel (and i'm 6'4")

I'm 6'2", and not uncomfortable around town, but out on all day drives I'm a little uncomfortable. 34" inseam, and 38" sleeves on my dress shirts.

My knuckles drag when I walk and I wish the steering wheel telescoped-out farther.

More like an orangutan. I wish the steering wheel came back further too, I practically drive from the back seat.

It sure would be nice to have more telescope. I have to hunch my shoulders forward to drive. It drives me nuts on longer trips.

I agree. I move my seat fwd more than comfort to reach the stuck steering wheel on dash. I say that because now my knees Re crunched and if I didn't mod the seat I'd be in a C position and with my head bent fwd. Wth?
No joke. It's so weird and wrong. I bought this truck new recently and love it but omg. I can't figure it out

And I have long arms too! I commute for work and it's literally hurting my neck and upper back

I notice the headrest pushes my neck forward - how did you fix that?

I had a 2007 RX350 where the headrest pushed my neck forward too much. Then I had a spinal injury and actually had to sell the SUV because couldn't drive it.

My 2nd gen headrest is perfect for me.

I agree the 2nd gen headrest don't bother me. I find the seats in the 2nd gen to be very comfortable. Only wish I could scoot back another couple inches

That was the purpose of this thread, to see if there was enough interest for the manufacturer to create the plate. I contacted them prior to the post, and they responded that they would be interested if there was interest. I'm only seeing 3 or 4 2nd gen people that would have interest. I was hoping for 20+, but it doesn't look like it's going to happen.

If they have the plate created they sell them for about $150, but if you want them to create something they don't already have they charge about $1500. I thought if I could bring them a thread with a large quantity of interest they might create the plate.

I'm sure if you could get some of the 3rd gen people in here than it would gain some interests. I'm definitely interested I could use some more leg room on long trips
