??? i would much rather spend the 6 or 7 hundred bucks on something else. Do I want to be lifted a bit more? of course. Do I want to get pff the stock coils? yes. Do I have to? no.

I would do ucas at the same time as putting on a lift.

    A. You got to take your front end apart twice. If you aren't doing it your self you got to pay twice.

    B. Your paying for two alignments.

    C. Not only do ucas help your alignment you can get more droop with aftermarket ucas. May require an extended length shock though not sure.

Extended length shocks are the same price as regs. It's not much more travel but it is some. 3/4-1??

Research ucas be fore you buy some require specific backspace on wheel or using a wheelspacer.

I would also replaced driverside needle bearing w/ ecg ?? Bushing.

Just to chime in. @Arcticelf has the removal tool for the needle bearing. And the tool to seat the new seal if needed.

That is the second time I heard of this needle bearing thing. What is it and why does it need replacement?

I'm trying to devise a way to obtain these so I have my old 886 set up as spares, and these to replace them!

I like what you're thinking and I agree. I've always wanted to own and lift a tacoma. So why not do it right!? Obviously I'd rather spend the 600 or 700 on something else, but to do it right, I think I'll need UCAs. I'm so back and forth on this. I think I'll start putting away cash slowly. I have a like new lift on her now anyway. Once I have enough cash squirreled away, then it's on! What are we talking, about $3k?

$3k? No way Jose! What lift are you looking at? You can get away with a full OME kit with dakars, UCAs, needle bearing and an alignment for less than $2k if you do the install yourself.

I just happened to look at kings or icons. Nothing else really. Those coilovers are like 1200-1500 just for those! Jba UCA is 700. I just said 3k to cover my ass with anything else that pops up

Highly recommend OME lift. I just ordered my kit the other day. $1,225.95 free shipping from OK4WD. I ordered my Camburg UCA from Headstrong for $569.95 free shipping. Awesome lift. Rode better than stock on and off-road plus it obviously looks bad-ass. No trimming. (285/75/16 Cooper ST MAXX)

    Check out @HeadStrong Off-Road

    http://www.headstrongoffroad.com/

I've heard they are really good to deal with. And they donated to the raffle this weekend.

You can get some good ideas on pricing there.

They are great. Excellent customer service. Honestly should have ordered my lift through them. OK4WD has grumpy people working there. Marie at Headstrong is a pleasure.

I've also been a fan of @Wheeler's Off-Road Inc. If you send them a PM with what you want, they'll get you a discounted quote. They were able to beat Headstrong by a good $60 when I went through them, and that was only on a ~$700 order.
