Oh... I know all about that frame and recall stuff. The frame is in good shape. I bought it from a mom/pop dealership in upstate New York in 2015. It had the recall frame replacement done before I had gotten it with its first owner (they had the paperwork to prove it). But just having the frame re-done didn't mean that the rest of the original body they swapped onto the new frame didn't suck! The body is the sucky part I'm playing keep-up with. I spent a couple months of my free time the first summer I had the beast just sand-blasting and wire brushing it all underneath, some bondo, a couple tiny weld spots with a friend, and then a thorough undercoating by me with 3M Body Shutz. I'm gearing up this spring to get some body rust spots done (rocker panels, near gas cap along driver side of bed, and tailgate). The most scary part of rust on my truck is the actual body mount on the driver front.

Easy enough to replace body mounts .

I did see your later Post in the Pa Thread about the frame being replaced

Even if the steel of the body all around that mount is on its way out?

I replaced them when they were completely gone with a big hole in the floor .

Just takes a little longer . With All new Parts

Like any other work the more often you do the job the easier it gets .

I've gotten real adept over the years at pulling off rusted, seized up parts of all kinds. Most things that can be unbolted and swapped back on with a new part I'll do for my vehicles. But when it comes to cutting and welding, that's out of my skill set and tool set.

Anyone interested in a Green trail ride at either Rausch Creek or AOAA?

Don’t have a specific date, just trying to gauge interest, but I have some weekends open in April and May.
