This is the 1st review, NOT a recommendation.

    Purchased as a replacement radiator for a : 1996 TACO V63.4L, automatic, SR5 4x4.

This radiator is all aluminum, comes with a radiator cap. This model requires the removal of the factory radiator sliders as they are part of the new radiator, and the factory sliders are no longer required, see pictures below.

Note: suggest the factory sliders are kept for future use if needed.

Removal of the factory sliders on this truck require the grill to be removed which took some time.

The diameter for both upper and lower radiator hoses are 1 3/8”.
The peacock appears to be brass.
The new radiator is 1 7/8 “ thick.

In preparation the shroud was installed to insure correct fit (measurements and threadings). The threading of the connections for the radiator attachment to the truck were checked and all four threads threaded with no problems. All welded sites appear well done.

Important note: The built in slider connections on the new radiator ARE to be assed at the time of attempted install to insure a solid fit else it be returned to Rockauto.

    Pictures to follow.

It's less Tacoma and more mod
I put one from this brand in my 87 300ZX back in the day, it held up well. I think @Kwikvette put one from this brand in his 80 series Land Cruiser too. Be interested to see how the tacoma one holds up.

I've had this radiator for 2 years now, running Toyota red antifreeze. Holds up just fine and my temps hold steady. No nasties when I peek down the radiator opening with the lid off.

Can confirm I was happy with how heavy-duty it felt compared to the OEM unit it replaced in my Land Cruiser.

The biggest benefit in my case was the use of aluminum fittings all around and having them clocked in the correct position.

The factory (even aftermarket) radiators have plastic end tanks with plastic fittings. For Land Cruiser owners, one thing that often occurs is the plastic nipple for the coolant bypass hose breaks right off, causing coolant to spew all over.
