Lengthening custom LT uca’s

    Custom +5 IFS on 10” coilovers 4wd 40” trailing arms 14” coilover short course setup
    I need to cut and lengthen my uca by 1-2”. I am maxed out on my hiem adjusters. How should I go about lengthen the control at. To ensure thier aren’t any major sheer points I create. A picture is below of the control arm in discussion. my first idea was to just get some 1/4” plate and truss the inside of a piece of boxed mold steel, then I could bevel the edges, weld it up, and then plate over my welds after grinding them down. Lmk your input.
