I just noticed your iceco cooler. Do you have the spec on the model you have?
    How do you like it?
    Issues? etc?
I am looking at getting the vl45 or the vl45 pro

Did you ever make those brackets to adjust the panel?
DO you have any pics or build thread on how you did it?

Its the Expandable VL35 I believe. I love it for the most part. But I have had it replaced 3 times now because it keeps creating puddles inside the storage area. I don't mean a few drops either, I mean a puddle from the back of the lid to the front. That's been my only problem. But they no longer make this model, so I'm wondering if this is the reason. The VL45Pro is what I'd like to get this replaced with if I could though.

I went with the VL35 because it fits under the tonneau cover while on the slide out rack. Everything else is too tall. So maybe one of the new ones would fit without the tray? Otherwise it's going in my backseat.

Why are to leaning toward the pro vl45?

I have been trying to do some research as to what justifies the cost of the pro over the regular vl45 and it seems almost not worth it... The lid of the pro seems very handy, but other then that, I don't really see it being a benefit... Same compressor, same size

Isn't it just a difference of $50? I like the lid more and the color better. Other than that, I don't see a difference, ha.

    Not military
I think I am going toward the non pro VL45... just cant seem to justify 140 more for basically the same cooler, especially since the compressor is the same.

About the puddling you mentioned.. what was causing it?

Wish I could tell you. I send pics and videos and they send me a replacement. No explanation at all.

I decided not to, im no longer in the PNW , no need to face south. Im back in NV and 99 percent of places here, it does well flat. However, in yhe near Future i will make a locking/slide, so i can have it at a 45 degree angle during the shorter days. I dont have any install photoa, but i can take a few abd show you how i ran the wires, it isnt hard, just time consuming if you want it neat.

Go with the pro, the lid versatility is worth any extra cash. I have the 60 pro

I'm going to switch to the pro. Iceco gave me an option to replace my expandable with a pro. I just had to pay the difference.

140 more for a lid... Hard to swallow but maybe not...

Well it's also dual sided input for DC, better handles, and dual USB ports

So you don't keep the solar connected while driving? Also, what awning are you running here?

It gets disconnected when I pull the tent/rack of my truck bed.

The awning is Overland Vehicle Systems 270 degree.
