Just a life lesson in general, really. People will always be a factor. If we get butthurt every time someone isn't exactly the way we think they should be life is going to be long and stressful.

You are correct. I was only using (YOU) as you were the one that disputed the comment about elected officials. I vote too.

    1. the cop didn't say why he wanted the window down said just do it.

    2. he has the right to not be harassed when he is acting within his rights.

    3. officer would not answer his simple question of detainment.

    ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^

    1. excuse me, it was a marked DUI inspection.....normal for the police to check eyeballs and sniff for alcohol....

    2. he brought on his own harassment by being a bit of an ass...

    3. officer was wrong, but by that point the kid (read driver) had pushed enough buttons...almost to be expected....

as the poster has stated below, I do believe he has every right to sue for the paint scratch repair, that was excessive, even if it was avoidable with a bit more compliance from the driver....

    next.....

Doesn't matter who we vote (politicians, sheriffs, etc.) for if LEOs don't act within the scope of the law. Too many uneducated people out there thinking they are entitled to treat people a certain way because they wear a badge.

Also, I hope that kid sues the police department for the scratches on his vehicle from the K9.

EDIT: I have friends who are LEOs that are very respectful of their badge and very intelligent. Just seems to be more of a minority these days.

No need, IMO, to talk about who we vote for. This gentleman was pissy rather than professional and should be told to act more professional in the future. No need to dig all deep an philosophical into it. He just needs to lay off the steak and testosterone a little. Why is it we always take poor behavior and turn it into a legislative thing. Just have the guy's boss reprimand him and tell him he needs to chill out and be nicer to people.

And thats what most likely will happen lol and the reason is gets turned into a legislative issue is we are the "boss" in the end, if we don't complain nothing would happen.

Again kid was a troll and an ass, not defending him, just the lack of professionalism on the LEOs part

Clash of troll kid that knows a little vs. Older cop who got frustrated.. Both IMO were in there own way wrong.. Clearly if the kid would've just rolled the window down he most likely wouldn't have got swarmed with the reaction he did. Other than that it would've taken the cop coming off his high horse and bitting his authoritarian lip to have a more peaceful situation.

I would be pissed about a dog climbing on my vehicle tho, that just opens up another can of worms.

I think this is a great example of poor testing and poor training. Regardless if the kid were being an ass about the window, his response was logical. Sure wanting to leave the window open a crack may lead one to believe he is possibly hiding something, but the approach taken to better understand the “WHY” in this case was beyond wrong.

I get the video, I get that the kids is being an ass and trying to prove a point, but man I sure know a lot of idiotic knuckleheads as cops and what a great example here. Their job is so very important and it just blows my mind the testing, psychological evaluation, and background check doesn’t yield better results.

Have about other topiics and recieved responses as well. It is Forums, blogs, facebook etc. that has become the tool for people to express their view has it not? Heck the NSA is even watching what we are doing online what makes you think that politicians are not checking emails, looking at links and so on. The computer has become a very powerful tool has it not?
