thanks for your input guys..i dont have any guns with a safety but my Sig Sauer 1911 Tac-Ops which has an ambi thumb safety and the grip safety.

my M&P's dont have the disconnect either and have the ugly etching on the slide to let you know too

My first duty weapon had it but it was soon removed. I've carried 7 weapons after that but I don't think any of them had it. I don't blame anyone wanting that feature but I just don't want it myself.
