I have the Pittsburgh and 2 stands. I thinks the stands are Daytona. It worked fine. Jacked up the rear axle and popped a stand under it. Then jacked up the front and left the Jack there with a stand next to it for safety. No problems. I have a 3” lift and the Jack just made it to lift the front tires without any 2x4’s needed

I got this one because my 20yr old HF jack couldn't the tires off the ground after I installed a lift. With the rapid pump and foot pedal, it is a joy to use:

Mine only wanted $350 + parts and I told them I would do it myself, $650 is insane!

yeah the dealer i bought the truck from, likes to do that shit to me. i went to a dealer near my my house and the oil service was around $75. im ok is better than mavis tires with their 110 dollars. so im like yeah might just take it to the dealer is cheaper and they do the multipoint. next oil change i when tho the one i bought the truck from and the guy goes is $130 for and oil change and i immediately told him the dealer down the road is $75. at first he said they are using recycle oil. im like "suuuureee" then told him might not come back here. once the send me the bill they lower it down to the same $75 dollar oil change once i check the invoice same part number as the other dealer. i thank the guy and my last oil change went back and then a new guy came and told me the same story that is $130 and blah blah blah. told him about the other 2 visitis he did not care he send me the bill for $130 wanted to add some brake to the mix and then wanted me not to leave him a bad review. ( he got a bad review) and when i check the invoice same price for the oil and filter but they jack up the labor on that one.

and yes that dealer that said not to the OP is a jerk they still wanted to do the job whit not special tools require but charge for it.

I couldn't follow some of that, but if you keep going back, it's on you.

When I bought my pro 2 months ago came with an aftermarket ugly grille as the owner hit a bird and put an aftermarket one on. My dealer wanted $1100cdn for the grille and garnish. $225 Amazon. Please don't tell the amazon police. I don't need my house raided again this year haha

Interesting story from earlier today for me related to dealer rip offs.

My old neighbor has a coolant leak, she took it to the dealer to check out. They called her right away and say she needs sway bar links for $480. I told her that was too much, she replied back with they said "480 with alignment, 350 without, but they recommend the alignment". They were trying to get her to align the car for work on a part that doesnt change the alignment. There was a 99% chance they were going to put it on the rack, hit it with a hammer to show a change, and collect $130 for it.

No it’s just the dealer is being a douche, like most of them are.

Pittsburgh is fine, but the Daytonas are next level and a great price for what you get.

The “this is a PITA” is perhaps the only reasonable explanation. It can’t be liability because they’re willing to do it, just not for free.

The OSHA thing, sure, but that just means for the two minutes total it takes to drop those tires off the hubs and then lift them back on, two people are theoretically required. The rest of the job still only needs one dude (or dudette).

I thought rotating tires was the kind of thing you do more as a courtesy (free or low cost) to build customer goodwill and to get more traffic through the shop (or dealer) for the things that actually make money…

I liked this. It also points out that most (including dealers) don’t rotate the spare or even lube the drop chain

    good point

When i owned my gen1 tundra the sway bar links rotted in half from the salt here, The toyota ones were priced outrageous at the time to replace both ends. I ended up make them from a universal kit for about $25. They were still on the truck over 10 years after i did them.

That would only work if you have 5 matching rims.

    I’ve got a 33” spare but it’s on a OEM steelie.

You misunderstand...The spare is just a place holder. If you do a front to rear rotation, you have to lift one whole side. If you do a a rear-cross you have to lift the whole truck. This allows you to lift one wheel only.

It also affords you the opportunity to check function and psi; lubricate if needed.

I just went and bought the jack in the link on my lunch brake. I've been looking at this one for a while...

    Yikes!!!

    I had to search my '21 Sport's wheel/tire weight...roughly 62.8lbs based on this thread:

    https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads/2021-trd-sport-17”-rim-wheel-weight.744017/

What a difference that would make on MPGs...roughly 20lbs per tire...or 80lbs altogether.

Still, I think charging you any amount is ridiculous just to rotate your tires.
