Went out and played with some friends in the dirt this weekend at a place called Cherry Valley (near Duvall/Monroe for the locals who haven't heard of it). The truck did great and kept up with my friend's dedicated trail rigs. Only casualty was the front plate.

I just went over/around the rock pile. It was tight, but I make it without sliders (barely). I don't think I'll go back in there until my sliders are on, though.

Yeah thats where I went, hit my sliders the first time but I wasn't really trying hard not to. I tried to go back to the lake from that entrance but half way back there was a sign that said something like "camera surveillance", but it was obvious many people have. I didn't go past that as I was thinking there is a game camera strapped to a tree watching

Finally got around to building myself a sleeping platform for a trip I took this weekend. Instead of a pad, I decided to try an air mattress. Glad I didn't buy a new air mattress for this purpose because I won't be doing this again. LOL

It wasn't awful, but it was super awkward getting in and out, and the lack of headroom made it annoying to get situated. My dog thought it was fine, though.

I've picked up my fair share of trail stripes over the past few months, so I'm thinking about vinyl wrapping the truck to protect the paint a bit. I've always wanted to do a "snow camo" wrap on one of my cars, and I think the Taco is a good candidate for it.

    Playing around with ideas:

Two years with this truck today. :bananadance:

I have hair over 70k miles on it now, it had ~42k on it when I bought it.

Still a handful of things I want to do with it, hopefully in the near future.

    - Rock sliders
    - Roof rack
    - Bigger tires, smaller wheels (285s with 16" wheels, instead of the 265s with 17" I have now)
    - Upgrade the stereo (headunit from a 2013 model, upgraded door speakers with an amp, nothing too fancy)
    - Some minor "performance" upgrades (y-pipe, 70mm throttle body, MAF calibrator, and intake manifold spacer)

75k miles now, I love this truck.

Finally got around to installing the puddle lights I've had sitting around for months. They're tied into the dome light so they fade on/off with that. I put them on the inside of the pinch rail so you can't see the lights, just the glow from them.

Those or something like them is what you want. Be sure to get the waterproof ones. Also, I got the "cool white" ones and I regret it. I'll probably have to re-do these because it's more of a bluish-white (6000K) than a normal white. You want the "natural white" ones, that are around 5000K, but I was having problems finding those in the waterproof version.
