I got it but I used 4x4 leafs in thr back and 2 inch blocks plus qa1s instead of using the djm c notch. No notch so maybe next thing will be helper bags for when I put ny bike in the back!

    Looking great.

I'd like to drop mine a bit, but not that far.
Eventually I'll probably do 4x4 leafs and 1/2" spindle spacers.

DO IT!!!! Im actually very happy with it. The ride seems to have improved with the alignment and the x runner bilsteins. I was due for new shocks so that is probably a big factor on the better ride and feel.

    thanks for the comp!

Its absically 3" all the way around. i didnt take measurements on the back cuz i was tired after the blocks which were the final step. But the front measured from wheel center to bottom of fender is bout 16 1/2. I believe it was 191/2 befoore the control arms were installed. Ill check the back tomorrow.

I personally would keep the mud flaps. I know they're not 'cool', but they're a lot cheaper than having to have the bottom of your doors painted from all the chips that form w/o flaps. I've had them on my '01 since I bought the truck and I still managed to get a girl to marry me, flaps and all!

I'm glad I found your build thread as I plan on selling truck this Spring to buy a 2013 regular cab and do many of the same mods. Your 3/3 drop looks perfect, but I'm quite surprised at how nice your truck looked before it was lowered. I think the 18's make the truck look more 'macho' than the dorky steel wheels do.

Did you remove the factory bump-stops? Any chance you could snap a picture of how much distance there is between the axle and the bump stop? I'm assuming you must have the QA1's on a relatively stiff setting to prevent bottoming out. (Then again, do they have bumps in the roads in Hawaii :p )

Are your fog lights factory lights or aftermarket?

For others following this thread, the DJM web site shows that you can now order the front lowering kit with the new ball joints already pressed in.

Thanks man yah that 2013 will look bad ass! It looks 100 times better when you junk the steel wheels but I just wanted to get that agreesive stance frombthe mild drop. To tell you the truth I have the qa1s set to 3 clicks from zero. Not stiff at all compared to the extra 15 clicks left I believe. I only plan to set it high if I load my streetbike in the back. The front bumpstops on the lcas have hit the frame a few times but after I change the stock coils too the stiffer aftermarket ss(xii performance coils) that should rarely happen.

Yah I removed the factory bumstops in the rear and replaced with some after market energy ones. Ill post a pic later. Oh and our roads are bumpy as hell. They are so bad third world country status! Huge potholes!

Fog lights are aftermarket from ebay. They work really well. Used everything from the kit except. The switch that came with it because it was garbage.

I dont think mine has mudflaps in the front. Brain fart cant remember. Lol I still get chips and never touched it hah.

As for the kit with ball joints installed FU guys who get them already installed because im jealous. No need to use the shop press or struggle putting them in urself and removing thwm from old control arms. Thats convenient!

Sorry for spelling here, using my cell and my typing always gets jacked up hah

To buy brand new xii stock ride height springs or to use the ones I bought from a memeber on here used. That's the question
