Hmm I'll have to find a tester light. My diff was an add-in and I'm starting to question if i wired that right. I only had it illuminate while it was locked.
I've ripped out almost anything that wasn't stock and labeled everything else. I'm almost back to normal I think.
I did find this and I'm not entirely sure why. If i'm reading the FSM right its a TVIP ECU? Not even sure what that is. Notice the black and white cut.

If it was me I would disconect or cut the White/Black wire from the rheostat(s) attach a test wire and ground that and see if the rheostat functions normally. If it does you know then the issue is on the ground side of the harness.

This is a 3 wire electronic rheostat. It has to have a ground to function.

The TVIP is a big black box behind the driver side foot panel. About the size of a VHS tape, maybe a tad smaller. Usually wrapped in brown foam.

Good news, I think it is the rheostat. Didn't have a tester light so i grabbed one of the bulbs out of the corner lights and wired that up according to the diagram @mechanicjon provided. It didn't dim at all.
@ThunderOne may be able to let me test his and vice versa since he's local.. wink wink hint hint :D
