16 inch wheels with 50 series tires seem to be the proper proportionate size for the Tacoma- I think it looks pretty sweet

    fronts: 16x7 225/50/16
    rears: 16x8 245/50/16

I am using the DJM 3/4 lowering kit. I do not rub or scrape, and I did not have to do any fender wall massaging. I didn't have to roll any fenders, either. If you don't go too crazy with the wheel and tire size, then fitment should be cool. After dropping the Tacoma, the truck would bottom out every once in a while. I shaved the original rear bump stops to about half the height with a sawzall, but I would still bottom out occasionally. I then put in lo-profile bumpstops from @mjbtaco. After the lo-pro bumpstops, the truck does not bottom out any more.

A couple problems using 16 inch wheels today is finding a good set of them. 16 inch wheels are getting harder and harder to find these days; everything seems to start at 17, and go up from there. Also, I wuz gonna put in a big brake kit in the truck, but the bigger calipers would hit the wheels. I had to just go with OEM brakes for now.

Good luck w your drop- 5/6 is no joke. It's gonna be awesome :)
