    ^^^^X2 on the roof rack and how is it mounted. I have a 5'x4' defender rack sitting in my garage I'm still debating on wether or not to mount it or sell it.

    Bolted to the roof using self tapping bolts with rubber grommets around them for no leakage. Buddy of mine used them before on previous baskets he's built. No leaking and I haul two canoes all the time. I can stand in the middle of it no problem.

    is that a permanent installation then where you actually drill into the roof or do you use the existing stock roof rack mounting holes? also are they self made or did you buy them? Manufacturer?

    Yea it's permanent. It bolts outside of the factory roof rack into the sheet metal. I had my roof rhino lined before I had the rack installed.
