Not on the Tacoma but on the last truck . I had a 2 person Coleman Crawdad boat hanging in the garage over the car next to my truck and the rope gave way. The rope broke ,boat fell and slammed my last truck in the side and dented it big time .
ARG !!! Nothing hanging over my Taco or other vehicles now or ever again .

I should have added that it busted the mirror off and did damage to the car next to the truck also as it banked like a pool ball from side to side . OUCH ! It still hurts where I kicked myself in the arse .

Got some 3000 grit and 5000 grit sandpaper, soapy water, meguiars polish, and meguiars paste wax. Followed Chris Fix's YouTube video on fixing stratches and it worked perfectly, only thing was I went a little too hard in a corner and burnt through a tiny amount of clearcoat but the wax will provide the needed protection it needs.

Years ago I had a snowboard in a Thule ski/board rack on the roof of a shiny, red BMW coupe, and thought it was a great idea to drive through a TOUCH car-wash. It was not.

This summer I left the tailgate down on the Taco, and proceeded to drop some ~$500 worth of brand-new tools around my building. All of them had "evaporated" by the time I drove around the block to pick them up.

Scratched up all 4 fender flares and the black vinyl between the windows. So far that's it for me but I know it's coming. I'm planning to hit the fender flares with bedliner soon. I saw another one done recently. Looked really good and it's a much more durable finish than the plastic.

I have all of you beat.... I parked my 5 speed manual transmission in reverse and then when i was walking back it was cold out so i used my remote start. (yeah yeah I know remote start in a standard is not a good idea) I watched my locked truck drive backwards across the parking lot and crash into a handicap ramp with railings. I just got a new tailgate put on and new tail lights again.

How do you not have a failsafe? I've got remote start in my standard, but it won't even attempt to start if I wasn't in neutral and had the parking brake up. I have to set it that way to begin with.. I get to work and park the truck, before letting off the clutch and brake, shift to neutral, pull hand brake up, let go of clutch and brake and then I take the key out.. Engine is still running at this point. I get out of the truck and when the last open door is closed, the engine shuts off then locks the truck. They call it reservation mode.
