I was sure there'd be a thread on this but couldn't find it. If you can post a link, please do.

Otherwise, help this fella out and show me your 17s. I've been looking and can't find something I like for the right price. I like the thinner spoke design, more akin to what most folks here would consider "ricer" or "Fast and Furious" style. That's just me, not asking you to like it. I like that cleaner, no frills look, no fake rivets, not a bunch of layered lips or designs on there either. I definitely don't want steelies. Too heavy and just plain boring. Might as well stay with OEs.

I'll be off-roading only 1-2/yr max and then only mild trails. No rock crawling, no desert racing.

    My favs:
*TRD Ivan Stewarts. But those are only available in 16. Niche Throttles IS look-a-likes came in 17, but are out of production.
*Moto Metal MO961's are nice but too big at 18".
*Konig CounterSteers are just a bit too plain for me (Yes, I know they're being sold here on TW).
*Black Rhino Ocotillos. I like these but only come with 9" wide rim.
*MKW M81 or M83. Again, only in a 9" wide rim. I'd like to stay with 8" if possible.

    Other ideas, brands?

Thanks for posting the pics. Many of those have the fake rivets I'm trying to avoid. Any others w/o those?

I've got BBS RD 17x8 wheels. Not sure if they're what you're looking for, but I like them.
    Good luck.

I think he's talking about the round " bumps " around the outer edge of the rim

Yeah, any of those little add-on bumps or rivets I don't like.

Those BBS RDs look okay. I see there's maybe two versions. The ones for trucks have the space in the star arm, the others for cars are solid. The solid arm I like, more clean, ricer style. But I guess those are for front wheel drive cars only. oh Well.
