    Edit: I misread your question and swapped generations. I haven't seen anyone put a 3rd gen top on a 2nd. Vice versa, yes.

    For those that have purchase replacement cosmos from Softopper for a 2nd gen, which part number is the correct one? Both say they fit a Toyota Tacoma with utility tracks.

    I don't currently own a Softopper. Are referring to the bars that sit on top of the bed rails? Are there different models of rails within the Softopper line?

    I have an older model and the rails that sit on top of the bed rails are a square tube. I think the design of the newer ones are different

    I use the Velcro that comes wit it and stick them on the tailgate. Problem solve.
