The same shit everyone else has.
Mine gets water in in the corners. Ive chased it all over. It seems like it comes in from under the bed rail caps, even with addition weatherstripping

This seems to be what's happening. Doesn't seem to be getting in to softopper

Can anyone tell me if I installed my bars right, or are they to far towards the rear? I just find the gap between the rear window and softopper to be quite large though I believe I followed the instructions correctly.

Looks good to me. I believe the instructions say to install the bars flush with the head rail and yours look perfectly flush. That's how I installed mine. I would say your good.

Some people have installed theirs even closer to the cab for a more flush look. I prefer to have a bit of a gap so I can reach in easily and clean the windows against the cab. To each their own.

Good deal local to PGH -

Also, I knows its been discussed multiple times, but what are you guys treating your toppers with? Ive been using 303 Aerospace on mine. It keeps it clean and looking good, but the 303 runs when it rains. Im tired of cleaning streaks off the bed sides.

I wanna treat it with some sort water repellent that wont run when it rains, suggestions? Im thinkin of spraying it with 303 Fabric Guard but Im open to other suggestions. I use the Fabric Guard on almost everything I own - rain coats, backpacks, waders, ect - with great results

Haha! Funny. Love the inferno but if I could have gotten my manual in white or mgm up here in Ak that's what I would have gone with.

For second to third they have a conversion kit which is a curved rear lock bar and a longer beaver-tailed rear window to make up the difference of the tailgate from gen 2 to 3.
I think it was like $40 when I ordered it.

Craigslist. Classifieds on here. TTORA. ECt.

Craigslist seems to have the best prices. People sell used ones on here for almost retail price it seems. I picked mine up on Craigslist for 250$

Been using my softopper for a year now. Through fine dust in deserts, rain storms, and snow/hail this thing has treated us great! Except for VERY minimum amount of dripping in the bed (I need to get new weather stripping)!

I'm new to the softopper world and have two (probably really easy/dumb) questions.
    1. Can you put the seam sealer on the outside of the topper or will it discolor the canvas. I have a little bit of leaking and don't want issues while camping.
    2. Is this bunching nor male? (See photo). I used the velcro and that is tight but there is still bunching.

    Thanks!
