Does this happen to anyone else? Seems like it’s getting sucked in by some negative pressure. Maybe need to get the gap closer?

mine did until I put Velcro on the inside bed rail area..... all fixed

    "
    22.OR: Velcro

    1. Locate the bag of 14” velcro strips.

    2. Place 2 strips of velcro onto the front of the

truck bed, near the edges of the window

panel, while lining them up with the velcro on the flap of the front window panel.

    3. Wipe clean the selected surface of the front truck bed, remove the protective film from

the sticky side and firmly press the velcro onto the vehicle.

    4. Line up the front window panel velcro and press it securely onto the installed Velcro

My gap is allot closer than what I see here. Window holds fine with not anchoring. Except one time there were extremely high winds and it got pushed back a bit while I was driving on the highway.

So my softopper is going through its first mini rain storm. I went to see how its holding up, I found 6 small leaks. They are definitely coming from the inner straps used when the side panels are rolled up.

Did anyone here have the same experience? If so, how did you resolve the water leak?

After it drys out, use the seam sealer on the straps and down about an inch on each strap. Get around the seams where they attach also. Use the seam sealer on the inside of the topper only.

I did this when I installed mine, along with sealing all the seams, and have never had any leaks.

So ashamed! Have had my ST for 2 years and I still haven't seam sealed the thing. I should be shunned and banished.

Don't worry, I bought it with my softopper and never did it. I've been running it for over a year through snow, rain and frigid temps. Oh well

They sent the Seam Sealer with my ST. I didn't ask for it.

Finally have one day with temps in the low 60s and put the top on. It took about 45 minutes to install. Just have to install the clips for the front window.
    Back to Winter tomorrow.

So, never having owned a vehicle with any kind of vinyl windows: how cold does it have to get before you run a risk of cracking them? 32°, 20°, the teens?
It's 70° today, but we are back into the freezer tomorrow night.
I am going to get a solid fabric back for winter use I guess.

I have no issue folding mine over the top in high 20's*. We recently had a bunch of single digit days. I just dropped the tail gate and didn't mess with the topper window panel.

I ordered a solid canvas back this afternoon. Should have gotten one when I ordered the topper.
With a backup camera and side mirrors the rear window isn't really necessary. I never use my rear view mirror anyway...my dog is always blocking the window.

Ill unzip my back window above freezing, but I wont even attempt to roll it unless its warm and the window is soft and pliable. Usually just unroll it and flip it up over onto the roof of the topper.
