I installed heavy duty Velcro along the front, on the inside, that works perfect with the Velcro that's on the front inside of the SofTopper. Mines right and I installed no snaps.

For what its worth I drilled the snaps into my bed. It was easy and effective. It's a plastic bed, it's not like it'll rust. It does limit use of the front rail, but if that's a priority for you then I don't see any way you can attach the front flap and still use the rail.

Tell that to my hilight jack on mounts on back wall with cover fully snapped and velcrod. Works just fine.

    No issues at all.
Holds up well with heavy snow, but I make sure I pull it off with a push broom when I can.
Careful with the rear plastic window in cold weather as they can crack.Don't try to roll it up.
I just unzip the sides on the rear flap and flop it on the roof when I need to get in there.

I personally stored mine for most of the winter but I mostly use mine for camping. I did go camping in the Shenandoah Mountains in late November average low temps were about 25 degrees. I can say that just using a sleeping bag in the truck bed that thing keep all the wind and moisture out pretty damn good. It felt pretty cozy and decently insulated.

I'm considering buying one of these in the near future and I was wondering about how these things hold up? Anyone on here have one that's 3 or more years old, if so anything fail, hows the canvas?

We are looking at picking one up as well, and coming from a jeep I plan to get some of the cleaning supplies that are used on a soft top, really helps hold up against the UV.

The ones I use are raggtopp, but there are a lot of other brands out there as well.

Your axe mount might be in the way if you try and fold down the topper. Might still clear if you move it rearward a few inches.
